Permits need to be arranged ahead of time, with a night spent at either Havasupai Lodge or under the stars at the campground near the falls. With your permit sorted, the hike begins by losing 1800ft of elevation as you trek to the base of the Grand Canyon. All up the hike to the mystical falls is ten miles one way.
